What is this?

Borrowed Lives is a text-based sandbox RPG where you explore a medieval fantasy world with dynamic storytelling and tactical combat. You'll build up your characters stats and skills, build relationships with characters, and make choices that shape the story.

Who am I?

I am a full-stack programmer who loves text-based lewd games and wanted to mess around and see what I can do. I've made a few games before, but this is my first time making something of this style and genre, so there is room for improvement. Any feedback on the game or reports of bugs are greatly appreciated, and I hope to build a fun and welcoming community. I have to shout out Degrees of Lewdity for giving me a ton of fun the past few years, and inspiring me to make a game of similar style.

What's next?

I have a ton of plans to continue updating this game - new features, new origins, and hopefully improving the scene display with art of sprites, icons, and backgrounds. I am only a programmer, and made everything in this first version by myself - in order to get any art I'd need support from volunteers or funding to get it done. The pregnancy system is actually mostly complete, and was planned to release in the original version - however, because I wanted more detail when aging up the children (so they aren't perpetual babies) I decided to push the entire system off until a later version. It will include things like fertility, stages and effects, awareness, multi-pregnancy, and npc pregnancy. Besides that, I will be releasing more story content and origins in patches until I'm ready to release larger updates.
